HGV Class 2 Driver

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit HGV 2/Class 2 driverson behalf of our clients based in LEEDS, West Yorkshire.... pay ranges from £18.00 inclusive of holiday pay. £14.00 to £16.06ph PAYE. This role has potential of becoming ongoing work.

Hours of work:

\n
• Monday to Friday ( minimum 8 hrs per day )
\n
• Day shifts
\n
• Start times will be between 06:45
\n

Pay:

\n
• £14.00 ph to £16.06 ph PAYE based on all hours work plus holiday pay is £18.00ph
\n
• Holiday pay, paid weekly
\n

The Role:

\n
• Class 2 deliveries to industrial estates / businesses with relatively easy access
\n
• Handball included
\n
• Tail lift/Pallet truck or forklifted off by client / customer
\n
• Multidrop ranging from 2 - 15 deliveries per day
\n

Duties/Responsibilities:

\n
• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
\n
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
\n
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
\n
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
\n

Essential Skills:

\n
• Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence for a minimum of 12 months.
\n
• Must have at least 12 months of HGV experience.
\n
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
\n
• Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
\n
• Good communication skills.
\n
• Good customer relations.
\n
• Have a safe driving record.
\n
• No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
\n
• No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
\n
