Bath (Hybrid)

3 Month Temporary Contract

£14.50 - £17.50 per hour PAYE (£16.25 - £19.61 including holiday pay)

A respected Bath-based organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to support its busy finance team during a period of continued growth and increased workloads.This is a broad transactional finance position requiring somebody who can hit the ground running and provide support across accounts payable, reconciliations, payments and finance administration. The successful candidate will join a collaborative finance team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
\n
• Managing the purchase ledger function from receipt through to payment
\n
• Preparing and processing weekly payment runs
\n
• Performing supplier statement reconciliations
\n
• Resolving supplier and internal finance queries
\n
• Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
\n
• Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
\n
• Allocating cash and maintaining accurate financial records
\n
• Supporting sales ledger and invoicing activities
\n
• Assisting with month-end processes including accruals and prepayments
\n
• Maintaining finance inboxes and responding to stakeholder queries
\n
• Supporting finance process improvement projects where required
\n
• Producing ad hoc reports using Excel
\n

About You

\n
• Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable role
\n
• Strong accounts payable and reconciliations experience
\n
• Experience working within a fast-paced finance environment
\n
• Good working knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables and lookups
\n
• Experience using finance systems such as Sage, Xero, Dynamics or NetSuite
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
\n
• Available immediately or at short notice preferred
\n
