Job Description
A renowned National Loss Adjusting Organisation are now seeking an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join their specialist Casualty Liability Team.

- You will handle a variety of specialist Liability claims, predominantly EL & PL and Third-Party Property Damage losses. \n
- You will manage and be responsible for your own caseload of losses, being part of a dedicated team you will play a vital part of the business by providing an exceptional claims service to key clients. \n
- Due to growth and expansion this will be an exciting time to join where you will be offered the opportunity to progress and develop long-term. \n
Key responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Handle predominantly EL & PL claims through to settlement \n
- Manage your own dedicated caseload of Casualty claims and handling enquiries in relation to policy indemnity, legal liability and quantum \n
- Liaise with the Insurer, Policyholder and Broker \n
- Investigate allocated claims, looking at evidence and liaising with all relevant parties and determining liability \n
- Where appropriate refer to a field adjuster for site investigation to establish how the loss occurred \n
- Gather all necessary evidence and relevant documentation \n
- Determine appropriate action for resolution \n
- Negotiate settlement where appropriate \n
- Keep up to date with any technical changes within the industry and to your role which may involve participating in training programmes within the company \n
About you:
\n- \n
- Liability/Casualty Claims handling experience specifically EL & PL (Personal Injury) including Property Damage within the Loss Adjusting, Insurance or Legal Industry \n
- Experience of handling your caseload of claims through to settlement \n
- The ability to value an injury loss \n
- Experience of handling defendant losses \n
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written \n
- Good planning and organisational skills \n
- Solid IT skills and be able to use multiple in-house systems \n
- Insurance Industry Qualifications or working towards desirable \n
