Commercial Finance Analyst

Halliday Marx have partnered with an International and very well respected Tech business who are looking to hire an Interim Commercial Finance Analyst for 6 months.

This person needs to have experience in a similar role, is of mathematical mind, and a strong background using Excel and big data.

You must also be able to start within one week.

Responsibilities

• Post month-end revenue and cost journals at project level, ensuring all income and expenditure is accurately allocated.
\n
• Prepare both segment and consolidated reporting files, including detailed analysis of net bookings and financial performance.
\n
• Maintain and update gross margin and project profitability trackers to support month-end reporting and commercial decision-making.
\n
• Produce the monthly third-party supplier and translation cost reports by analysing purchase invoice data and validating cost allocations.
\n
• Prepare quarterly rebate calculations and support the completion of transfer pricing adjustments relating to intercompany cost transfers, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
\n
• Review and correct missing or inaccurate project codes on purchase orders and supplier invoices, working closely with the purchasing team to resolve issues at source and improve data quality.
\n
• Process purchase order cancellation requests received from Accounts Payable and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
\n
• Perform regular vendor cost and rate card reviews to validate pricing and identify discrepancies.
\n
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting, data analysis and information requests for commercial, operational and finance stakeholders to support business decision-making.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar commercial / analytical role

• Excellent grasp of revenue, cost, and gross margin
\n
• Very strong Excel skills
