We're partnering with a global leader in marine technology to appoint a Key Account Director responsible for one of the organisation's most strategically important international OEM partnerships. This is far more than a traditional account management role. You'll take full ownership of a high-value global relationship, operating across commercial, technical, and strategic functions to drive sustainable growth, innovation, and long-term value creation.
\nAs the \"Account CEO\", you will lead the overall customer strategy for a major global OEM account, ensuring alignment across multiple business units and international stakeholders. Acting as the senior point of accountability both internally and externally, you'll be responsible for strengthening executive relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and translating strategic objectives into measurable commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:\n- \n
- Lead and develop a major global OEM account across multiple regions and stakeholder groups. \n
- Build and maintain trusted relationships at C-suite and senior leadership level. \n
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term account value. \n
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and strategic contract discussions. \n
- Align cross-functional teams to deliver a unified and customer-centric account strategy. \n
- Partner with technical and product teams to support innovation, integration, and co-development initiatives. \n
- Translate customer requirements into practical commercial and technical solutions. \n
- Establish effective governance structures, escalation processes, and executive-level decision-making frameworks. \n
You will be a commercially driven account leader with the ability to influence at the highest levels and successfully navigate complex global organisations.
Essential Experience:\n- \n
- 10+ years' experience in senior commercial, business development, or key account leadership positions. \n
- Background within marine electronics, marine equipment, or a related technical industry. \n
- Proven success managing complex OEM, systems, or solution-led customer environments. \n
- Demonstrated ability to operate across commercial, technical, and strategic functions. \n
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional and matrix teams. \n
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth and improved margins. \n
- Skilled negotiator with a partnership-led approach to business. \n
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business planning capabilities. \n
- Strong executive presence with credibility in senior stakeholder discussions. \n
