Management Accountant

Yolk Recruitment is proud to be partnering with Valleys to Coast to recruit two Management Accountants to join their Finance team on an initial 3-month temporary contract. The organisation is also preparing to implement a new finance system, giving you the chance to get involved in a major transformation project alongside your day-to-day responsibilities.The RoleAs a Management Accountant, you'll act as a true Finance Business Partner, working closely with managers and teams across the organisation. You'll build relationships with non-financial stakeholders, helping them understand budgets, challenge performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support informed decision-making.No two days will look the same. Alongside producing management information, budgeting and forecasting, you'll be encouraged to ask questions, investigate trends and add real commercial value across the business.Key responsibilities include:Producing accurate monthly management accounts and financial reportingSupporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysisPartnering with operational managers to provide financial insight and challengePreparing balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journalsIdentifying opportunities to improve financial performance and reporting processesSupporting the implementation of a new finance system and wider finance improvement projectsAbout YouWe're looking for someone who enjoys working with people just as much as numbers.You'll ideally be:Qualified or Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or actively studying towards qualificationExperienced within a management accounting or finance business partnering environmentAn advanced Excel user with strong analytical skillsCurious, proactive and confident communicating financial information to non-finance colleaguesSomeone who enjoys building relationships and influencing decision-making across a businessExperience with Open Accounts or similar finance systems would be advantageous.What's on Offer?Initial 3-month temporary contract with genuine opportunity to secure a permanent positionHybrid working - typically 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home5-hour working weekOpportunity to work a 9-day fortnight, giving you every other Friday off after your first monthExcellent career development opportunities within a growing organisationTo ApplyIf you're looking for a role where you can develop your career, influence business decisions and be part of an organisation investing in its future, we'd love to hear from you.Please submit your updated CV to Hannah Welfoot at Yolk Recruitment.TPBN1_UKTJ
