\nThe Opportunity
\nBRD Search is working with a fast-growing, medium-sized FMCG business with ambitious expansion plans across the UK and international markets.
\nAs the business continues to scale, they are investing heavily in the quality of their financial planning, commercial insight and reporting capability. This newly created Senior FP&A Analyst position will play a key role in helping leadership make better, faster decisions through high-quality financial analysis, forecasting and business partnering.

\nThe Role
\nWorking closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for delivering meaningful financial insight, driving forecasting accuracy and supporting strategic decision making across the business.
\nYou'll combine traditional FP&A responsibilities with continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to automate reporting processes, enhance forecasting models and improve the quality of financial information available to the wider business.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nFinancial Planning & Analysis
\n- \n
- Produce monthly management reporting across the business, ensuring accuracy, consistency and meaningful commercial insight. \n
- Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities through detailed variance analysis. \n
- Prepare clear commentary explaining financial results and key business drivers. \n
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-term financial plans. \n
- Build and maintain robust financial models covering P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. \n
- Develop scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision making. \n
- Deliver ad hoc commercial analysis to support business initiatives and investment decisions. \n
Commercial Finance

- Partner with Commercial, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain teams to provide financial support and challenge. \n
- Monitor sales, margins, operating costs and profitability across customers, product categories and channels. \n
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. \n
- Help budget holders understand performance against plan and identify opportunities for improvement. \n
Reporting & Business Intelligence

- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting packs for senior leadership. \n
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility of business performance. \n
- Continuously improve reporting processes by reducing manual intervention and increasing automation. \n
- Ensure financial data remains accurate, consistent and easily accessible. \n
Forecasting & Cash Flow

- Support rolling forecasts across all business functions. \n
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and monitor performance against expectations. \n
- Identify potential funding risks and opportunities. \n
- Assist with long-range financial planning. \n
Systems, Automation & AI
\n- \n
- Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A activities through automation and AI. \n
- Utilise tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies to improve efficiency and reporting quality. \n
- Build repeatable templates, prompts and automated workflows that enhance finance processes. \n
- Support finance systems projects and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Measure the effectiveness of automation projects through improvements in accuracy, speed and efficiency. \n
Stakeholder Management

- Build strong working relationships across Finance and the wider business. \n
- Present financial information confidently to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. \n
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues on the effective use of reporting and AI tools within finance. \n
- Act as a trusted business partner, helping operational teams understand financial performance. \n
About You

\nEssential Experience
\n- \n
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). \n
- Previous experience in an FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering role. \n
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience. \n
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn financial data into commercial insight. \n
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail. \n
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Claude to improve finance workflows. \n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
Desirable Experience
\n- \n
- Experience within FMCG, retail, consumer products or another fast-paced commercial environment. \n
- Experience developing reporting dashboards using Power BI or similar BI platforms. \n
- Exposure to ERP systems and FP&A planning tools. \n
- Understanding of predictive analytics or AI-driven forecasting solutions. \n
- Experience leading finance process improvement or automation projects. \n
