Our Client, Wigan Council, is seeking a Children’s Advacned Practitioner to join their Team.

\nResponsibilities of this role:
\n- \n
- Provide practice leadership and support to fostering social workers. \n
- Lead on complex fostering assessments, reviews, and casework. \n
- Supervise, mentor, and coach practitioners to promote high-quality practice. \n
- Support foster carers through assessment, supervision, and development. \n
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively and in line with statutory requirements. \n
- Quality assure reports, assessments, and care planning. \n
- Represent the service at fostering panels, professional meetings, and multi-agency forums. \n
- Promote placement stability and positive outcomes for children in care. \n
- Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, policies, and standards. \n
- Contribute to service improvement, audits, and workforce development initiatives. \n
Requirements of this role:
\n- \n
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England. \n
- Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent) \n
- Must have minimum of 3 years experience working as a Qualified social worker \n
