Head of Operational Resilience (Contract) - Financial Services / Hybrid

Robert Half International (an S&P 500 global staffing provider) is supporting a leading Financial Services organisation in the search for an experienced Head of Operational Resilience to lead a critical resilience programme. Working closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), this role will drive Operational Resilience maturity, regulatory self-assessments, governance activity, and remediation initiatives across the business.

  • Initial 6-9 month contract (strong likelihood of extension)
  • \n
  • Start Date: Mid to End of July
  • \n
  • Location: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
  • \n
  • Rate: Competitive day rate via PAYE (Inside IR35)
  • \n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Lead and oversee the Operational Resilience function and associated workstreams
  • \n
  • Manage and enhance Operational Resilience self-assessment activities
  • \n
  • Work closely with the CRO and senior stakeholders across Risk, Technology, and Operations
  • \n
  • Prepare and present materials to governance forums, approval boards, and executive committees
  • \n
  • Drive remediation activities relating to Operational Resilience and Business Continuity findings
  • \n
  • Assess and strengthen resilience controls, processes, and operating models
  • \n
  • Provide programme reporting, risk updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • \n
\n

Required Experience:

    \n
  • Financial Services experience is essential
  • \n
  • Proven experience leading an Operational Resilience function or major resilience programme
  • \n
  • Strong experience delivering Operational Resilience self-assessments within regulated environments
  • \n
  • Experience presenting to and obtaining approval through governance boards and committees
  • \n
  • Technology Risk background highly desirable
  • \n
  • Previous experience addressing Business Continuity weaknesses, findings, or regulatory actions
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working at Executive and C-Suite level
  • \n
