Mechanical Fitter

Futures are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has a strong background in mechanical assembly.

The successful candidate will be confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and will have previous experience assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical components to a high standard. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has excellent attention to detail, and can work efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit mechanical components and machinery from engineering drawings.
\n
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
\n
• Carry out mechanical fitting, installation, and adjustment of parts to precise specifications.
\n
• Use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
\n
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
\n
• Identify and resolve assembly issues where possible.
\n
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to achieve production targets.
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with company procedures.
\n

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.

• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
\n
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
\n
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
\n
• Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic.
