Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester

We are currently recruiting for an MOT Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable franchised main dealership in Southampton, Hampshire. This is an excellent Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking career progression within a supportive and professional environment.Benefits:\n

• Competitive basic salary up to £34,000 depending on experience

• OTE £39,000 with a structured bonus scheme

• Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am to 5:00pm
\n
• One Saturday every two months, 8:30am to 12:30pm

Duties of an MOT Technician:\n

\n
• Conducting vehicle repairs and routine servicing in accordance with manufacturer standards
\n
• Carrying out MOT testing (Level 3 qualification preferred; Level 2 individuals with testing licence considered)
\n
• Diagnosing faults accurately and performing necessary repairs
\n
• Communicating effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair progress
\n
• Supporting and mentoring Junior Technicians within the workshop
\n
• Maintaining health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
\n
• Participating in ongoing technical training to stay abreast of vehicle technology developments
\n

Requirements of an Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:\n

\n
• Full UK driving licence
\n
• MOT Tester qualification (Level 3 preferred; Level 2 with testing licence considered)
\n
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent technical qualification
\n
• Proven workshop experience with solid technical skills
\n
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
\n
• Self-motivated, proactive, and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service
\n
• Commitment to continuous development within the automotive industry
\n
