Tax Manager - Independent Accountancy Practice High Wycombe | Hybrid (3-2) £55,000 - £65,000 DOE Butler Rose Public Practice is pleased to be supporting a friendly independent accountancy practice in High Wycombe in their search for a Tax Manager to join their team and hit the ground running. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional seeking autonomy, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to shape and grow a developing tax department within a close knit & social team. The role is primarily focused on personal tax and private client work across both compliance and advisory services. You will play a key role in strengthening and developing the firm's tax offering, working closely with Partners & Directors while having ownership of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax and private clients
\n
• Oversee compliance including self-assessment and related filings
\n
• Provide tax planning and advisory services
\n
• Support the development of mixed tax services across the practice
\n
• Take ownership of the tax function and contribute to its growth
\n
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and key point of contact
\n
• Identify opportunities to enhance and expand the tax offering
\n

Key Requirements

\n
• ACCA and/or CTA Qualified (Qualified by Experience candidates encouraged to apply)
\n
• Minimum 5 years' UK accountancy practice experience (Essential)
\n
• Strong background in personal/private client tax
\n
• Experience in mixed tax, corporate/business tax.
\n
• Strong experience in both compliance and advisory work
\n
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach
\n
• Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
\n
• Ambition to step into a leadership role with autonomy
\n
