Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Portsmouth (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (Extension Possible)

Rate: £60/hour inside IR35

Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required on submission (British Nationals only)

Our client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their Advanced Developments Group (ADG), a highly innovative team delivering cutting-edge technology solutions within the defence and aerospace sector.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on advanced embedded systems, wireless technologies, and real-time software in a collaborative R&D environment.

\n Key Responsibilities

\n
• Develop embedded software using C/C++
\n
• Build software for bare-metal and embedded Linux platforms
\n
• Prototype innovative wireless solutions
\n
• Develop real-time embedded software and firmware
\n
• Configure embedded Linux using Buildroot, Yocto, U-Boot, and Device Trees
\n
• Support software from prototype through to deployment
\n

\n Required Experience

\n
• Embedded Software development using C/C++
\n
• Bare-metal and Embedded Linux development
\n
• Linux Device Drivers (DMA, Interrupts & Device Trees)
\n
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
\n
• Software Defined Radio (SDR)
\n
• Active SC Clearance
\n
• British National
\n

• Experience working within Defence or Aerospace environments
