Northamptonshire £42,444 - £44,962 per annum Full Time | 37 Hours per Week Up to 7.5 Teaching Hours per Week

An FE college in the Northampton area is seeking an ambitious and inspiring Deputy Head of Faculty to support the leadership of our Construction Trades & Heritage provision.

\n

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FE professional with a background in Construction Trades, curriculum leadership and quality improvement to help drive outstanding teaching, learning and student outcomes across apprenticeships, full-time programmes and adult learning.

\n

Working alongside the Head of Faculty, you will help lead curriculum development, quality assurance, staff performance and employer engagement, ensuring every learner receives an exceptional educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategic and operational leadership of the Faculty
  • \n
  • Line manage lecturers, skills coaches and technicians
  • \n
  • Drive quality improvement, student achievement and retention
  • \n
  • Lead curriculum planning and development
  • \n
  • Conduct lesson observations and learning walks
  • \n
  • Build and maintain strong employer partnerships
  • \n
  • Support recruitment, enrolment and student progression
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body and quality requirements
  • \n
  • Champion an inclusive and learner-centred culture
  • \n

About You

\n

We are looking for someone who has:

\n

Extensive teaching experience within Further Education

\n

A teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent)

\n

Experience within Construction Trades and/or Heritage provision

\n

Strong leadership and people management skills

\n

A proven track record of improving quality, achievement and learner outcomes

\n

Curriculum development and quality assurance experience

\n

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

\n
