\nOur Level 2 Mechanic is a highly skilled and detail-oriented position and critical to the success of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of vehicles and machinery, ensuring that they operate safely and efficiently. You will work on various systems within the vehicle, including the engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical system, among others.\n
\n
\nRESPONSIBILITIES to include, but are not limited to:\n
\n
\nEngine Repair:\n
\n
\nProficiency in diagnosing and repairing common engine issues such as replacing worn-out or damaged components, such as spark plugs, belts, hoses, and gaskets.\n
\nAbility to conduct basic engine tune-ups and address minor engine repairs to ensure proper engine performance and longevity.\n
\nProficiency in inspecting and maintaining the radiator, hoses, thermostat, and water pump to prevent overheating and ensure efficient engine cooling.\n
\nAbility to diagnose and repair cooling system leaks, flush the coolant, and replace components when necessary to maintain proper engine temperature.\n
\n
\nSuspension and Steering:\n
\n
\nProficiency in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing power steering, wheel alignment, and front/rear suspension components\n
\nProficiency in ensuring vehicle stability through knowledge of tire wear patterns, alignment specs, and system calibration.\n
\n
\nBrakes:\n
\n
\nProficiency in the repair of brake systems, including hydraulic systems, disc and drum brakes, power assist units, and parking brakes.\n
\nDemonstrated skills in servicing ABS and ESC\n
\n
\nElectrical/Electronic Systems:\n
\n
\nProficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, including troubleshooting wiring problems, testing, and replacing fuses and relays, and addressing issues with lights, switches, and electrical components.\n
\nKnowledge of electrical schematics and the use of multimeters and other diagnostic tools to identify and rectify electrical faults in the vehicle's · Ability to use diagnostic tools and scanners to identify and interpret trouble codes, assess sensor readings, and diagnose common vehicle issues.\n
\n
\nHeating & Air Conditioning:\n
\n
\nProficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and climate control.\n
\nProven ability to handle refrigerants, test system performance, and repair A/C compressors, blower motors, and control systems in compliance with environmental regulations.\n
\n
\nThese skills correspond to the following ASE Certifications: A1, A4, A5, A6, A7. ASE certifications are not required, and we will help you obtain them during employment.\n
\n
\nRequirements:\n
\nASE Certification preferred, or a willingness to attain it with our full support and assistance\n
\n5+ years of hands-on practical experience.\n
\nProficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools is essential.\n
\nA valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.\n
\nProblem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify issues and develop solutions is critical.\n
\nAttention to Detail: Precision in diagnosing problems and making repairs is necessary to ensure vehicles and machinery are operating safely and efficiently.\n
\nPhysical Stamina and Dexterity: Often work in physically demanding environments and must be able to handle tools and components comfortably.\n
\nOrganizational Skills: Keeping track of multiple repairs, parts orders, and schedules requires strong organizational capabilities.\n
\nWillingness to Continue Learning: As technology advances, ongoing training and education are essential to stay current with automotive trends and techniques.\n
