Job Description
An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a contract position working full time with children ages 3 to 12, with occasional high school students. This assignment is based in a school setting near Haughton, LA, and will run through May 20, 2027. Enjoy a flexible schedule, with the option to start between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. and finish between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., for a total of 37.5 hours each week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) credential
- Prior experience as a speech-language pathologist in a school environment
- Familiarity with evaluation, development, and delivery of IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working with students ages 3-12, including early childhood and elementary, with the flexibility to support occasional high school students
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide direct speech-language therapy to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and implement appropriate interventions
- Document student progress, maintain required records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse learning needs and age ranges
- Provide consultation and resources to school staff and caregivers
