Job Summary

A healthcare services team in Shreveport, LA is seeking an Infant Care Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting specialized patient care in durable medical equipment, orthotics, and cranial remolding care. This role is a strong fit for a Medical Assistant, patient care professional, or direct care team member who enjoys working with infants, new mothers, families, and healthcare partners.

This opportunity offers hands-on training in a growing specialty area of healthcare, supportive leadership, and a positive, family-oriented medical office environment. The right candidate will receive training in cranial remolding care, orthotic support, and patient service processes while building a stable career path in a meaningful medical field.

Key Responsibilities

- Train in cranial remolding care while working professionally and compassionately with infants, new mothers, and families.
- Assist with patient care activities related to durable medical equipment and orthotic devices.
- Learn OrthoFitter duties and participate in cross-training for hospital call support.
- Document patient information, appointments, service details, and care notes accurately using basic computer systems.
- Support device adjustments and fittings, including the basic use of hand tools when needed.
- Provide courteous, patient-focused service while maintaining a calm, caring, and professional approach.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $18.00 per hour.
- Additional compensation detail provided: $31,200 per year.
- Starting pay detail provided: $15+ per hour, depending on experience.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- On-call rotation: Every 4 to 5 weeks, 24/7, for hospital calls after training.
