The assignment runs from August 3 to May 19, with an estimated commitment of 17-18 hours per week, including indirect time. Responsibilities include individualized instruction and oversight for three students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Service time involves direct and oversight support in both reading and math, with schedules adapted to each learner’s needs:

  • Student 1: SPED Reading (30 mins, 3x/week, separate), SPED Math (30 mins, 3x/week, with peers)
  • Student 2: SPED Reading (30 mins, 2x/week, separate), SPED Math (30 mins, 4x/week, with peers)
  • Student 3: SPED Reading (oversight, 30 mins, 4x/week, separate), SPED Math (oversight, 20 mins, 4x/week, separate)

Ideal candidates bring:

  • Current licensure/certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Prior experience delivering individualized instruction and progress monitoring for students with IEPs
  • Familiarity with virtual or blended learning models (if applying for remote)
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation skills
