The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including their educational qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Job OverviewThis role involves assisting the nuclear physician in executing specialized imaging procedures.
QualificationsRequired:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Possession of a valid New Jersey State license.
- Certification from ARRT and/or NMTCB.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred:
- At least two years of experience in a hospital setting as a staff technologist.
- NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT certification is preferred.
- This position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week during the day.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Adhering to standards set by the hospital and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Completing special assignments from supervisors in a timely manner.
- Supporting the nuclear physician in specialized imaging procedures.
- Ensuring all tests are conducted accurately and results are validated before patient release.
- Calibrating dose calibrators and performing quality control on gamma cameras according to departmental guidelines, promptly reporting any issues to the lead technologist.
- Clearly explaining procedures to patients, including wait times, and ensuring their comfort during the process while obtaining optimal images using specified technical parameters.
- Identifying patients (both inpatient and outpatient) according to hospital standard operating procedures before initiating any procedures.
- Carrying out all hot lab functions, including the handling of radiopharmaceuticals, in strict compliance with vendor, departmental, and regulatory guidelines.
