Essential qualifications and experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings with K–12 students is very desirable
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is strongly preferred, given the district’s rich linguistic diversity
- Ability to create engaging, culturally responsive communication programs
- Strong interpersonal skills, compassionate approach, and team-oriented mindset
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of students’ speech and language needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each learner
- Collaborating closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining detailed documentation, and participating in IEP meetings
- Providing direct therapy sessions while adapting materials for varied bilingual backgrounds
- Participating in professional development to stay updated on best practices and approaches
