Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience working in school settings with K–12 students is very desirable
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is strongly preferred, given the district’s rich linguistic diversity
  • Ability to create engaging, culturally responsive communication programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, compassionate approach, and team-oriented mindset

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of students’ speech and language needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each learner
  • Collaborating closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitoring student progress, maintaining detailed documentation, and participating in IEP meetings
  • Providing direct therapy sessions while adapting materials for varied bilingual backgrounds
  • Participating in professional development to stay updated on best practices and approaches
