Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Lakewood, WA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Valid Washington SLP license (or eligibility/willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Required fingerprint clearance through OSPI (or willingness to complete this process)
• School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, rapport-building, and organizational skills
• Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusive student support

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech-language assessments and interventions for K-12 students
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs and goals
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to foster student progress
• Document services and progress per school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and school-wide professional development
• Educate staff and families on communication disorders and strategies
• Maintain ethical standards and uphold confidentiality for all students

This contract opportunity is for 37.5 hours per week, beginning September 9, 2026, and concluding June 16, 2027.
