Overview\n

\nThe Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability by repairing and maintaining a wide range of processing equipment across the plant.\n
\n
\nJob Responsibilities\n
\n
\n• Ensure safety and food-safety by following all company, OSHA, and government rules and procedures including; Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), personal safety, and food safety/SQF Program standards;\n
\n• Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime;\n
\n• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and develop sustainable solutions for issues with equipment to include; PLC controlled equipment, plant electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and mechanical systems including motors, instrumentation, distribution, and feed control systems;\n
\n• Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted;\n
\n• Maintain complete records of work performed using software, work orders and detailed logs;\n
\n• Assist with equipment change overs and line startups, troubleshooting issues as needed;\n
\n• Identify required parts and maintain current inventories, and parts reorder lists;\n
\n• Act with a Continuous Improvement mindset seeking areas of opportunity for improvement and participating in cross-functional CI focused projects;\n
\n• Repair sinks, hoses, water lines, toilets, and plumbing equipment;\n
\n• Maintain wheels on racks, tubs, transits and ensure they are greased and in good working order;\n
\n• Complete all building repairs; maintain walls, ceilings, and floors in good repair;\n
\n• Contact refrigeration contractor when needed for maintenance or repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC system is needed;\n
\n• Assist with installation of new equipment;\n
\n• Performs other required tasks as assigned.\n

\nJob Requirements\n
\n
\n• Associates or Bachelor' degree in related field (technical or vocational education) highly preferred but not required;\n
\n• Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience or 5 years related trade experience required;\n
\n• Working knowledge of electrical, motor controls, main distribution, process control, wiring and components.\n
\n• Maintenance Technician certification highly desired;\n
\n• Six months or more of experience in the food processing/manufacturing preferred;\n
\n• Proficient in use of basic machine tools and hand tools;\n
\n• Proficient in use of basic electrical trouble-shooting equipment;\n
\n• Ability to read specifications and pay attention to detail;\n
\n• Ability to communicate effectively;\n
\n• Detail oriented and self-motivated.
