Step into a pivotal contract opportunity supporting students' communication and learning journeys in a school-based setting near Westover, MD. This role begins August 17th, 2026, and continues through June 14th, 2027, offering 20–25 hours per week onsite or in a hybrid capacity—ideal for professionals who value flexibility while maintaining a focus on effective supervision. You will primarily oversee an SLPA and personally manage a caseload of 20 students, ensuring each receives the services and guidance needed for growth and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Maryland Teaching Certification, current and valid
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience providing school-based SLP services strongly preferred
- Adept at supervising SLPAs, delivering feedback, and supporting professional growth
- Comfortable working onsite and/or in a hybrid arrangement
- Strong commitment to collaborative, student-centered interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy and evaluations for a caseload of approximately 20 students
- Supervise, mentor, and support the assigned SLPA, ensuring adherence to best practices and district guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reporting in compliance with district and state standards
- Collaborate with IEP teams, families, and other specialists to foster student achievement and implement individualized plans
- Participate in scheduled team meetings, contributing expertise and insights to advance program quality
