In this position, you will:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20 students, assessing and addressing their unique speech and language needs within the school setting.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to ensure the highest standards of practice and student care.
- Collaborate closely with educators and staff to design effective communication strategies and integrate individualized plans into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and parent communications as an essential advocate for student growth.
Qualifications and experience preferred:
- Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Maryland teaching certificate.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Experience in a school-based setting or direct work with children/adolescents.
- Confidence in supervising and mentoring support personnel.
