Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Apex, North Carolina

Embrace a rewarding opportunity in the vibrant Raleigh, NC area as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in both elementary and middle school settings. This onsite, contract position begins between August 24 and September 9, and provides a meaningful chance to make a difference in students’ lives while maintaining flexibility in your schedule. With 25-30 hours per week and the potential to increase hours according to need, you’ll have the balance to focus on your professional and personal goals.

You’ll use your expertise in speech-language pathology, including your experience as an SLP-CCC, SLP-Healthcare provider, or SLP-CFY, to serve a varied caseload of approximately 30 students. The school provides a dedicated therapy room and all necessary materials, so you can focus on delivering exceptional services. Familiarity with the ECATS system will support your streamlined workflow and documentation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with pediatric populations, ideally in a school environment
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status welcomed
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Knowledge of school-based documentation systems, such as ECATS, preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to elementary and middle school students onsite
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports using the ECATS system
• Participate actively in IEP meetings as needed
• Foster an encouraging, inclusive environment for all students

Compensation for this contract position ranges from $37-45 per hour, reflective of your experience and skills.
