Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. With four openings available, you’ll play a key role in fostering communication development in a school-based setting near Spanaway, WA. This position is part-time, requiring 7.5 hours per week, with a manageable caseload of 45-50 students. Please note that these roles are entirely on-site—remote or hybrid options are not offered.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Prior experience in school settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with a range of communication disorders and therapy techniques for school-aged populations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- A passion for helping students achieve their individual communication goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in line with students' IEP goals
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Provide direct therapy and track outcomes to ensure effective interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student planning
