This role focuses on supporting young learners during a 12-week maternity leave, offering dedicated care for preschool-aged students at a vibrant early childhood center in the Ionia, MI area. The ideal candidate will deliver interventions and collaborate closely with families and staff to promote communication success in the classroom.

Role Overview:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals as well as state and federal regulations
  • Conduct assessments, develop therapy plans, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support educational team decisions
  • Focus on young learners, ensuring strategies are age-appropriate and engaging
  • Preferred work setting is in-person due to the age group and nature of interventions

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working in school settings, especially with early childhood populations, is a plus
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and best practices in school-based speech-language services
  • Passion for helping children find their voices and thrive in a collaborative environment
