POSITION SUMMARY

\n\n

Under the direction of the Parks Director, the IT\nCoordinator manages the day-to-day technological operations of the district.\nThis role serves as an IT generalist responsible for maintaining network\nstability, managing cybersecurity protocols, and overseeing facility access\ncontrol systems. The position requires a proactive professional who provides\ntechnical leadership and ensures the integrity of the district's digital\ninfrastructure through detailed monitoring and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides\n technical support for all staff, including hardware, software, and network\n troubleshooting
  • \n
  • Monitors\n and manages district cybersecurity measures, including firewalls,\n antivirus, and threat detection
  • \n
  • Administers\n facility access control systems and security camera networks
  • \n
  • Manages\n IT asset lifecycles, including procurement, deployment, and\n decommissioning of equipment
  • \n
  • Conducts\n regular system audits and implements software updates and security patches
  • \n
  • Oversees\n data backup procedures and disaster recovery planning
  • \n
  • Develops\n and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and user\n support.
  • \n
  • Facilitates\n end-user training sessions for new software, security best practices, and\n office technology.
  • \n
  • Manages\n local and cloud-based user accounts, including provisioning and\n offboarding.
  • \n
  • Coordinates\n with external IT consultants and service providers for specialized\n technical projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced\n knowledge of Windows/ChromeOS environments and Microsoft 365\n administration
  • \n
  • Expertise\n in network security, VPNs, and firewall management
  • \n
  • Proactive\n problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • \n
  • Ability\n to manage complex projects and vendor relationships independently
  • \n
  • Proven\n ability to document technical processes and create user-friendly support\n guides.
  • \n
  • Proficiency\n in managing remote access solutions and mobile device management (MDM).
  • \n
  • Strong\n interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to\n non-technical staff.
  • \n
  • Familiarity\n with compliance standards relevant to public sector data privacy.
  • \n
  • Experience\n with audio/visual (AV) systems installation, maintenance, and support.
  • \n

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

\n\n

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer\nScience, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of three years of experience\nin an IT generalist or support role. This is a strictly onsite work arrangement\nrequiring a proactive, detail-oriented professional. Relevant certifications\n(e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are highly desirable.
