The compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and professional experience.

The Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, operating diagnostic and cardiac catheterization equipment, and assisting physicians during specialized radiology angiographic and interventional procedures to enhance cardiac and vascular care.

Required:

• Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology (RT) program or an approved Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) program.
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, teamwork, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred:

• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• At least 2 years of experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology, including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring.
• New Jersey Certified X-Ray Technologist (NJ CXT).
• National registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• EKG Certification.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• Full-Time (FT) Day shift.

• Exhibits thorough knowledge of procedure protocols, including preparation, patient positioning, safety measures, and image labeling.
• Operates fluoroscopy equipment while ensuring quality control.
• Calibrates, maintains, and operates necessary equipment and applications to guarantee safe and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Reports any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate support personnel.
• Demonstrates proficiency in conducting angiographic and interventional procedures.
• Assists physicians during procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring tasks, such as preparing sterile trays, handling instruments, and positioning patients for imaging.
• Utilizes ICVS and PACS systems to accurately enter and label patient images.
• Retrieves previous images and films as needed.
• Collaborates effectively with a team of physicians, nurses, and technical staff in an invasive or surgical environment.
• Exhibits flexibility, tact, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Shows initiative and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Performs additional related duties as required.
