ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Maple Heights, Ohio, to hire a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to support PreK students with a variety of communication needs while working within a collaborative school-based environment.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping young learners develop the communication skills needed to succeed academically and socially. School-based experience is preferred but not required, and qualified SLPs who are newer to the school setting are encouraged to apply.

Position Details

  • Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Location: Maple Heights, OH
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Contract Dates: August 6, 2026–May 28, 2027
  • Student Population: PreK
  • Caseload: Manageable caseload with a variety of student needs
  • Employment Type: W-2 contract position

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to PreK students
  • Conduct speech, language, communication, and swallowing evaluations as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
  • Maintain accurate service notes, progress reports, and required documentation
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans when appropriate
  • Support students in developing functional communication skills that promote success in the classroom and beyond

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
  • Active Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • School-based experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with young children who have a range of communication needs
