Position Summary:

Situated in Belleville, our medical center is part of a larger health system, providing comprehensive care to the northern New Jersey community. With a team of over 700 physicians and 2,100 staff members, we deliver advanced treatment for a diverse range of medical issues. Our facility features specialized centers for wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics, cardiac services, cancer treatment, emergency care, and more. In 2017, we completed a significant campus expansion, introducing a new four-story building that includes a private 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, a new main entrance and lobby, a retail pharmacy, a patient registration area, and an expanded emergency department.

Qualifications:

Mandatory:

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School
• Associate degree in nursing
• ACLS Certification must be obtained within six (6) months of employment

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
• At least two (2) years of RN experience in Critical Care or Telemetry

Required Certifications and Licenses:

• Current NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Details:

• Part-Time Position
• 25 hours per week
• Night Shift
• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend is required; weekday schedule will vary based on departmental needs

Key Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for organizing and delivering individualized, age-appropriate care to patients within a designated unit of the hospital, supporting overall medical care. This role aligns with the philosophy, objectives, and mission of our organization and the Nursing Department. The RN practices in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, the Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory bodies. The RN also engages in patient education and discharge planning, as well as participating in unit performance improvement initiatives.
