\nRequirements:\n
\nAbility to work with children\n
\nStrong communication and organizational skills\n
\nAbility to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification class as part of training and work scheduled shifts as a lifeguard\n
\nAbility to perform job functions in a warm, humid setting and chlorinated pool (lifting, standing for extended periods of time, demonstrating curriculum skills and performing in-water rescues if necessary). Noise level is usually moderate\n
\n
\nSummary: You will instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. After each 30 minute lesson, you communicate progress (and celebrate the accomplishments!) with parents and caregivers.\n
\n
\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n
\nProvide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum\n
\nEducate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents\n
\nEvaluate students’ progress, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner\n
\nInteract with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills\n
\nUse problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter\n
\nMaintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment. Place and remove lane lines and class materials before/after lessons\n
\nPerform light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc. on occasion\n
\nAttend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours\n
\nFulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your employer\n
\n
