\nWe are Now Hiring a Full-time Employment Specialist in Binghamton, NY to coach persons with developmental disabilities and prepare them for employment. The Employment Specialist will develop essential job skills for persons with disabilities and assist in job placement.\n
\n
\nStarting pay is $18.00/per hour\n
\nResponsibilities\n
\n
\nProvide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment.\n
\nCoach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills.\n
\nWork side-by-side with persons with disabilities at job sites.\n
\nReinforce essential skills, or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application.\n
\nAccurately complete all documentation.\n
\nAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned\n
\nEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation\n
\n
\nMinimum Requirements\n
\n
\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n
\nTwo years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities\n
\nValid driver's license with satisfactory driving record\n
\nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing\n
\n
