Embark on an exciting opportunity to support elementary students during a maternity leave assignment focused on speech-language therapy services. This contract position is situated in a dynamic school environment, providing tailored interventions to children aged 5-11 and collaborating closely with educators and families to enhance student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Possess a current GaPSC SLP Educator Certification
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Prior experience (clinical or school-based) working with elementary-age children
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) preferred

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students with diverse needs
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Develop educationally relevant goals and document progress toward objectives
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student achievement
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight to team decisions
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare required paperwork for special education compliance
  • Utilize creative therapeutic techniques to engage students and foster positive outcomes
