Job Description
Embark on an exciting opportunity to support elementary students during a maternity leave assignment focused on speech-language therapy services. Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Possess a current GaPSC SLP Educator Certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience (clinical or school-based) working with elementary-age children
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) preferred
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students with diverse needs
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Develop educationally relevant goals and document progress toward objectives
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight to team decisions
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required paperwork for special education compliance
