Step into a contract position supporting early learners by delivering impactful speech and language services. This assignment runs from August 19th through late October to cover a 12-week maternity leave, and is located near Portland, MI, working with young children at an early childhood center. The school seeks an in-person clinician to best meet the developmental needs of these students.

Leverage your expertise to assess, plan, and implement therapy in alignment with IEP goals as well as state and federal guidelines. You’ll play a vital part in fostering communication skills by working closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure each child’s individual needs are addressed.

Preferred candidates will bring the following:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based experience, ideally in a similar setting
  • Ability to provide services onsite with young learners
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and delivering direct and consultative SLP services to a diverse caseload
  • Developing, implementing, and documenting individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Participating in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent conferences
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant documentation standards

This contract offers 32.5 hours per week over the assignment period, allowing for meaningful work with a focused, manageable caseload.
