Position Overview:
This role involves leading and coordinating unit staffing while ensuring the execution of clinical goals and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversees, instructs, and evaluates nursing and support personnel during assigned shifts, contributing to performance assessments.
- Evaluates daily patient care requirements and organizes care assignments, ensuring appropriate care is provided to the patient population.
- Works collaboratively with advanced practice providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Assesses the effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues impacting desired outcomes.
- Addresses patient care complaints and resolves them through established protocols.
- May assist in the hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
- Maintains a constant state of alertness and safety.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse.
- Regularly uses speech for effective oral communication.
- Constantly stands and walks.
- Frequently lifts, carries, and pushes/pulls items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Regularly sits, reaches, and engages in data entry.
- Frequently utilizes vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, as well as color differentiation.
- Regularly uses smell to identify odors.
- Frequently employs hearing to receive verbal communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.
- Occasionally lifts and moves objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
- Occasionally assists in lifting or moving patients.
- Occasionally bends, stoops, kneels, squats, twists, grips, and performs repetitive movements with legs and arms.
- Occasionally drives.
- Rarely crawls or runs.
