Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Transplant Hepatologist to enhance our esteemed liver disease and transplant program at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This position is based within the Division of Hepatology at a prominent medical institution.

The mission of our Division is to elevate patient care, foster scientific innovation, and provide education in liver disease through exceptional personalized treatment, pioneering clinical and translational research, and a commitment to training future physicians.

Position Highlights
  • Deliver comprehensive care to individuals suffering from acute and chronic liver conditions.
  • Engage in all facets of liver transplantation, including patient evaluation, management of the waitlist, and post-transplant follow-up.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including hepatologists, transplant surgeons, interventional radiologists, transplant coordinators, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, and nutrition experts.
  • Play a vital role in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in a dynamic academic setting with opportunities to cultivate clinical and/or translational research interests in areas such as liver transplantation, viral hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, and metabolic liver disorders.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Transplant Hepatology.
  • Possession of an Illinois medical license at the time of appointment.
  • Strong clinical skills in both General Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology.
  • Proven interest and expertise in clinical and/or translational research.
  • Dedication to excellence in patient care, education, and academic medicine.
Compensation and Benefits

This role comes with a competitive compensation and benefits package, which includes:

  • Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945
