Speech Language Pathologist in Simi Valley, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Prior experience working in school-based settings is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
• Excellent interpersonal, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Skilled in conducting assessments and writing detailed evaluative reports
• Dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students with varying needs
• Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals
• Develop and update Individualized Education Program (IEP) documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Consult with staff on strategies for classroom language support
• Monitor and document student progress toward established goals
• Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in professional development to stay abreast of best practices
