Step into a vital role supporting young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, providing services at an elementary school in a welcoming community near Cartersville, GA. This maternity leave position offers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) and the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of children aged 5-11. You’ll collaborate with an experienced team, contributing your clinical expertise to help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive school environment.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Current active SLP license
  • GaPSC SLP Educator Certification required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
  • Recent experience in school-based settings, preferably with elementary-aged students
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and deliver therapy for a diverse elementary caseload
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines
  • Provide strategies and support for classroom teachers to optimize carryover of communication goals
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and student support initiatives
