This assignment runs from August 19 through November 11, with the flexibility to work 2-4 days per week (0.8 FTE), 8:10 AM - 3:20 PM. You’ll serve a caseload of 35 students with various speech and language needs, primarily at the Madison location, but also supporting classrooms at Lincoln. Tuesday meetings are crucial, as you’ll connect and collaborate with peers and specialists for optimal student outcomes. A shared office space keeps you engaged and integrated within the team.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • ASHA CCC-SLP required; Illinois licensure or eligibility
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
  • Familiarity supporting students with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Proficiency in conducting speech-language evaluations
  • Comfort working with Pre-K children and diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a continuum of services from speech-only to fully self-contained classroom students
  • Participate in team meetings (especially Tuesdays)
  • Collaborate with district SLP on evaluations and PBAs
  • Manage and support a caseload of approximately 35 students
