A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RNResponsibilities

• Individuals in this role are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in line with HHS standards to ensure efficient, effective, and high-quality patient care.
• The Registered Nurse (RN) must exhibit the necessary knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for patients in the assigned unit.
• This role requires an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, along with the ability to assess data that reflects the patient’s condition and interpret the necessary information to identify each patient’s age-specific needs.
• The RN is tasked with planning patient care, which includes developing, modifying, and implementing care plans in accordance with HHS standards to deliver efficient, effective, and quality care as outlined in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Compliance with the regulations established by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act is expected.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN)
• Current RN License in Oklahoma
• BLS certification must be acquired within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to delivering direct patient care.
