Job Overview and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the care team, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to overall departmental success.
- Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers. Ensures timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient medical record.
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions. Simplifies complex medical terminology for better understanding.
- Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up actions, including healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
- Implements evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to surpass quality benchmarks and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to manage the quality of care, coordinating, evaluating, customizing, and delivering a holistic treatment plan that fosters recovery.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
