Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 12-week maternity leave assignment this fall. This contract opportunity is located at an early childhood center near Belding, Michigan, where you’ll work in person with preschool-aged students, helping them achieve meaningful communication milestones.
You will provide direct speech and language therapy aligned with IEP goals, implement interventions, and deliver progress updates to families and educational teams. Your expertise will be valued as you serve a close-knit student group and collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster communicative growth in a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- SLP-CCC credential required
- Experience in school-based settings is preferred
- Previous work with early childhood populations is a plus
- Ability to work onsite and engage effectively with young children
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver speech/language services per IEP requirements
- Document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Consult with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary team members
- Support students’ communication needs using engaging, age-appropriate methods
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
