Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our The Reserve at Moonlight location. This community has 294 units and is located in Gardner, KS, close to Olathe, Spring Hill, Overland Park, Lenexa, and DeSoto. As the Maintenance Technician, you are responsible in aiding all general maintenance of the apartment community. This includes routine and preventive maintenance, turnover maintenance, and other duties to maintain the property.\n

\nSchedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM, plus on-call rotation with additional pay\n
\n
\nResponsibilities:\n
\n(include, but are not limited to)\n
\n
\nComplete work orders and other community maintenance\n
\nStrive to make the community appearance at or above quality standards at all times, including picking up trash, cleaning buildings and amenities on an ongoing basis\n
\nLook for needed maintenance and liability hazards and reports them to Manager\n
\nPrepare vacant apartments for move in\n
\nReview the make-ready board and follows through on direction from the manager to determine action to be taken on vacant apartments\n
\nMake all repairs and replacements necessary for the apartment to be occupied\n
\nRequire to work odd schedules and be on call\n
\nAdhere to all safety policies and procedures\n
\n
\nMinimum Qualifications:\n
\n
\n2+ years of general maintenance experience\n
\nEPA universal license for HVAC required\n
\nCPO license preferred\n
\nKnowledge of Fair Housing regulations\n
\nAbility to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances including washer and dryer\n
\nExperience with turnover "make-ready" of apartments\n
\nHigh school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred, college-level/trade school preferred\n
\nBasic computer proficiency preferred\n
\nBilingual is a plus\n
\n
\nPhysical Demands: Will be exposed to the constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light and heavy loads, climbing stairs and ladders.\n
\n
