Job Overview:The OR Tech I is an integral part of the surgical team, operating under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role involves collaborating with both the surgeon and RN to ensure optimal patient care and taking on essential responsibilities before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Qualifications:Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in scrubbing for various service lines, including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make calls, demonstrate flexibility, multitask, and work independently
- Certification as a Surgical Technician is mandatory
- NBSTSA Certification is required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association is necessary
- Shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Full-time position
- Availability for alternating weekends, holidays, and on-call duties
