Fright Fest Make-up Artist 16+ starting $16.50

Overview: Turn ordinary into extraordinary-and terrfying! As a Fright Fest makeup artist, you will bring ghastly creatures, scare-actors, and haunting icons to life at Six Flag Darien Lakes spooktacular event. Working in a high-energy, fast paced enviroment you'll utilize special effects make-up, air brush techniques, foam latex and silicone prosthetics to transform performers for our haunted houses and scare zones. Responsibilities: • Create and design Fright Fest characters through make-up application. • Utilize prosthetics, traditional, Special FX, and air brush techniques to apply make-up to performers. • Create an average of 30 faces over a 2 hour timeframe nightly. • Create and apply unique character designs to performers/actors. • Apply touch-up make-up and effects, both in the field and dressing room throughout the night, for actors/performers. • Maintain highest standards of safety. • Be a reliable member of a team. • Maintain professional standards in accordance with all Six Flags policies and procedures. • Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements · Must be at least 18 years of age. · Must be available for training and/or rehearsals prior to the beginning of Fright Fest. · Must be willing and able to work closely with other employees. · Must be comfortable working in dim lighting, confined spaces, and around large groups of people. · Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays. · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. · Strong time management skills and motivated to thrive under pressure. · Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally. · Should be a self-starter and able to take direction. Working Conditions · Work is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Lighting is both natural and artificial. · Equipment used includes radios, airbrushes, air compressor, other various makeup tools and products including latex, and cleaning tools. · Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, carrying. · Days and hours will vary and will include weekends, evenings and holidays. · Position will require close contact with Park Guests.
