Equipment Technician

Position: Golf Equipment Technician\n
\n
\nKey Responsibilities:\n
\n
\nKeep all equipment in safe working conditions.\n
\nInspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment.\n
\nExample: Lubricate equipment in accordance with manufacture guidelines\n
\n• Perform preventative maintenance\n
\n• Check and change oil, fluids, and filters\n
\n• Replace hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries, etc.\n
\n• Adjust parking brakes, tire pressure and gas gauges\n
\n• Inspect radiators, water levels and antifreeze\n
\n• Repair or change flat tires\n
\n• Schedule equipment for servicing\n
\nKeep accurate and detailed maintenance records for all equipment.\n
\nPerform mechanical repairs on a variety of 2 strokes, gasoline, and diesel-powered equipment.\n
\nDaily reel maintenance and scheduled sharpening/grinding.\n
\nHydraulic and Electrical troubleshooting.\n
\nAssist grounds maintenance personnel with various duties on the golf course as required.\n
\nSkilled in the use of mechanical tools.\n
\nGood judgement and reasoning skills.\n
\nAbility to communicate effectively.\n
\nUse a variety of testing equipment such as amp meters, voltmeters, gauges, and diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and the need for repair.\n
\n
\nThe above requires either knowledge or have the ability and willingness to learn.\n
\n

\nDESCRIPTION OF PHYSICAL EXERTION AND WORKING CONDITIONS:\n
\nHeavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.\n
\nEmployees are required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment and are subject to environmental conditions including cold and heat.\n
