Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist near Skokie, IL. This Pre-K SLP position offers a flexible schedule (2-4 days per week) for the duration of August 19 through November 11, working from 8:10 AM to 3:20 PM. You’ll provide essential services across two school buildings, primarily serving Madison, with some collaboration at a second location. A shared office environment supports your professional connections and daily routines, while teamwork is highlighted with a designated Tuesday meeting day for enhanced collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience working with preschool or early childhood populations, especially in school settings
  • Skilled in providing a range of services, from speech-only intervention to support within self-contained classrooms
  • Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in conducting speech-language evaluations
  • Comfortable collaborating with district SLPs for performance-based assessments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to approximately 35 students identified with S/L needs
  • Support students in both integrated and self-contained classroom settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Complete comprehensive speech-language assessments and participate in ongoing evaluations
  • Utilize AAC tools and strategies to facilitate communication progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, especially the critical Tuesday sessions
