Behrens and Associates Environmental Noise Control (BAENC) is a full-service acoustical consulting/engineering firm specializing in all aspects of environmental and indoor noise and vibration measurement, monitoring, analysis and mitigation. We offer practical noise and vibration control solutions using proprietary materials that have been designed to mitigate unwanted noise and vibration. We have an excellent opportunity for a talented in-person Staff Acoustical Engineer in our Smithton, PA 15479 office. The core responsibilities of the Staff Acoustical Engineer position include:\n

\n* Conducting field noise and vibration measurements.\n
\n* Processing and analyzing noise and vibration measurement data.\n
\n* Researching city, county, state and federal ordinances/standards in relation to noise and vibration.\n
\n* Developing computer noise models predicting project sound levels.\n
\n* Designing and analyzing noise mitigation options.\n
\n* Preparing professional technical reports.\n
\n* Managing assigned projects from start to finish.\n
\n* Interfacing directly with clients including projects kick-offs, status updates, and presentation of analysis results.\n
\n* Willingness to travel to collect field sound level data and support projects across multiple states.\n
\n* Desire to become subject matter expert in noise and vibration.\n
\n* Travel up to 20%\n
\n
\n*Qualifications*\n
\n
\n* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics\n
\n* 2 years of related experience\n
\n* Working knowledge of acoustical measurement equipment and computer noise modeling software, such as SoundPLAN or CadnaA\n
\n* Technical report preparation experience\n
\n* Excellent verbal and written English skills\n
\n
