Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
  • Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Comfort evaluating and implementing individualized intervention strategies for elementary-aged students
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with families and education staff
  • Ability to begin as soon as possible and commit to a part-time contract schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services two days per week to students in elementary grades
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s educational goals
  • Engage in IEP/504 meetings, contribute to student planning, and support with accommodations
  • Utilize creative problem-solving and adaptation strategies to enhance access to learning
